Christmas Beagle Gift Wrap!

Once again, Colorado Beagle Rescue volunteers participated in the Barnes & Noble gift wrapping fundraiser during the holiday season.  Over the years. Barnes & Noble stores have invited us to partake in their holiday gift wrapping events where a non-profit organization can come to a B&N store, wrap presents--they provide wrapping, tape and scissors--and we are able to collect donations.  They have also allowed us to bring our well behaved beagles to be ambassadors for CBR.  We always feel so welcome and our little rescue beagles are truly the main attraction!  We wish to thank Barnes & Noble for their support!

Our little Oklahoma Beagle found her way home!  A microchip was found and her family was notified.  Turns out that she had been stolen over 100 miles away.  The Oklahoma Rescue group figures that the people who took her maybe became scared and decided to dump her.  Lucky for her that she was dumped in a town where someone cared.  To all who responded wanting to help, we are grateful.  This little girl had a happy ending to her ordeal.

The 2009 CBR Picnic Was  A Success!!

With thanks to Nanette Martin Photography (nanettemartin.com) for taking such wonderful pictures of our families, volunteers and their precious beagles.

The annual CBR picnic for our adopting families and volunteers was another great success with over 100 people attending with their darling rescue beagles! We were blessed with wonderful weather (Mother Nature held off with her rain until we were done) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We would like to thank the following vendors for their most generous donations:

Petco in Westminster
McGuckin Hardware in Boulder
Whole Foods Market South Glenn in Centennial
Dozens Restaurant in Denver
LePeep Restaurant in Westminster
LePeep Restaurant in Boulder
Racine's Restaurant in Denver
Tattered Cover Book Store in Denver
Macaroni Grill in Westminster
King Soopers in Westminster
KBDI--Channel 12

We also want to thank our wonderful volunteers who gave their help to us on Saturday with set up, working the rescue trading post, picking up the agility equipment and clean up. Without them, we would not be able to do this event and have it be the success it is. A rescue is only as good as its volunteers and we think we have the absolute BEST! We hope to be able to post some picnic pictures very soon, so be on the look out for them!

The Colorado Beagle Rescue Garage Sale was a tremendous success!!

The weather was great--not too hot and not too cold and the crowds were plentiful in buying all the donated items that we received from so many wonderful friends and volunteers.

Grace Diamond (10 years old) set up her bake sale table and sold home made muffins, cherry cobbler, cinnamon rolls, donuts and bottled water and made almost $25 for the beagles!

Way to go Grace!

We want to sincerely thank all who helped make this important fundraiser such a success by either donating items, volunteering their time to help and/or baking items for the sale. Without all of you, we wouldn't be able to have such a fantastic fundraising event and to make a difference for all those little beagles coming to us looking for a forever home. The little beagles thank you from the bottom of their hearts!
