This tail-waggin' cutie is George. He is approximately 7 years old and he is looking for a forever home full of stability, patience and love.
George is crate trained and sleeps well through the night. He does well for short periods in his crate, during the day, but is also content just left napping on a doggy bed. He is not destructive and enjoys chewing on his Nylabone toys. He knows how to use the doggy door and loves a short walk and the occasional car ride. George is very quiet for a beagle and is not an overactive, rambunctious little guy. He prefers to trot around the yard a few times, following his canine foster siblings, and then retreat inside the house for a good nap. He gets along very well with other dogs, kids and people. He is a hearty eater and happily cleans his bowl twice a day.
George was diagnosed with Cushings when he came to Colorado last summer. His latest test results came back favorable and his cortisol/creatin levels are now normal. He only has to be given a dosage of a prescription drug with his dinner each evening. His prognosis is to live a long and happy life while continuing his prescription drug therapy. His medication is $137.50 every month. Of course he's worth every penny and Beagle Rescue will be glad to pay for this medication for the rest of George's life.
Overall, George enjoys a romp in the snow, a cozy nap, the company of his canine foster siblings and sunbathing on the deck on a sunny day. But, what George loves most is to be with his human family soaking up the love and attention he deserves.
Won't you open your heart and home to this great little beagle?
