Katy is a very beautiful and active 1-2 year old 50 pound Treeing Walker Coonhound who would love to find an equally active home that has a very good understanding for silly Coonies! Katy loves all people and other dogs, all though, she is a little cautious of meeting a new dog for the first time but once she gets to know them, look out, she becomes a fireball who is always looking to play! She gets along really well with her Beagle foster brother and sisters but she would probably do best with a larger doggy playmate that can equal her playfulness. Katy is potty trained and is also crate trained. She walks alright on a leash but still needs a little work which we are continuing to work with her. She loves playing with her doggy toys and chewing on Nylabones and can entertain herself for long periods of time. Katy at times acts very “puppy like” and can be a bit clumsy and could really use a patient home that can work with her and understand the Coonhound breed.

Katy was close to having a very tragic ending to her short life before CBR and her current foster family stepped in to save her! She is a very special girl who deserves that second chance in life and will make a special family very happy!
Being a Coonhound, we will want to find her a home with a tall fence!
