Cleo and Opie

ADOPTION PENDING- Cleo is a small female born May 21, 2006 and Opie is a male born July 5, 2006.

They have come from a broken home (divorce) and we would like to keep them together since they have always been that way since they were pups. Cleo is spunky and sweet and she never misses a thing inside or outside.  She is very affectionate, particularly with children even though they have been raised in a strictly adult home.  Opie is very gentle and is happy with sunning himself in the backyard and lying on his big over-stuffed cushion in the family room.  He actually minds better than Cleo and has a vocabulary that allows him to understand the word potty, outside, go lay down, etc.  Actually both dogs do but Opie is more willing to listen.  Opie does, however, have the traditional beagle bark, which is always entertaining.

Both Opie and Cleo are very social.  When guests arrive, they are very excited to see everyone, but eventually retreat to their beloved cushions in the family room and enjoy watching everyone.

Cleo will stay up until her family goes to bed each evening (no matter how early or late) but if Opie decides it is bedtime, he struts to the bedroom and covers himself with his king-sized blanket on the floor in the bedroom.  After he wraps himself it is difficult to determine which end is which :-).  Cleo also has a large blanket--her style is to dig around and push her blanket in a perfect circle, which looks like a nest. They are both early risers so an alarm clock is never needed!
